Reserve Shiraz

Dowie Doole Reserve Shiraz is produced only when vintage conditions allow for exceptional quality. Made in limited quantities, it represents the finest Dowie Doole Shiraz.

The wine is made to showcase classical McLaren Vale Shiraz. The best parcels of fruit are sourced from the winery's sustainably managed McLaren Vale vineyards.

The fruit is destemmed and crushed, then fermented in a static fermenter with up to three pump overs daily. The wine is basket pressed directly to new, fine grained French oak hogsheads to age for 24 months, receiving several rack and returns.

Deep crimson, Dowie Doole Reserve Shiraz is full bodied with a complex array of dark berry, spice and oak notes over a fine tannin backbone. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
